During 2014, as an alternative to video games I began to learn about rockets, air resistance, and sugar rocket composition. Following are the most influential and useful links:
James Yawn’s website
Jacobs Rocketry
Nakka’s Rocketry
I kept a notebook to write the experimental process and test results. Through the end of testing there were over 60 tests, with relatively steady improvements. This includes the numerous explosions.
Rocket Tests by month
As a spin-off to the Rocket Tests, I developed very serviceable methods of making “smoke bombs” (smoke devices) to produce showers of sparks and smoke to delight one and all. Someone once asked for some information about how to make smoke bombs really quickly, and here’s what I wrote. (Note: Google’s drop-mic April Fools’ feature was available during the hour that this was written. Also, a tiny bit of information has been redacted.)
