From about 2016 through 2019 I devised a series of half-completed projects involving Raspberry PIs. These included building a piaware station, a pihole, several iterations of a plex server, using a raspberry pi to manage the Unifi components of my home network, and others, as well as experimentation with Hats and addons such as the EnviroPi and glowy blinky lights to monitor traffic rates on a Tor relay (also installed on a Pi). I blogged about most of these at yosefsblog.blogspot.com.
I also installed Kali Linux on one and then used a combination of Kismet and Bettercap to blast local routers with deauth packets in a war-bicycling scenarios in order to capture the maximum possible number of reauthentication requests to crack using a GPU and hashcat’s CRACK attack. Unfortunately I did not blog about this one.
Eventually my passion for these died down and now all that is left is a PiHole and a Unifi manager / general-purpose network server.
